April 18, 2006 - ABC Scares Up Bird Flu Movie
Article by: Zap2It

May sweeps will soon be upon us, and this year ABC will feature one of the ratings-grabbing month's most time-honored traditions: a ripped-from-the-headlines disaster thriller.

The network has scheduled a movie called "Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America" for Tuesday, May 9. The "meticulously researched" two-hour film will tell the story of an avian flu outbreak in the United States, the people affected by it and those trying to stop it.

Joely Richardson ("Nip/Tuck") and Stacy Keach ("Prison Break") star. The cast also includes Ann Cusack ("The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H."), Scott Cohen ("Gilmore Girls"), Justina Machado ("Six Feet Under") and David Ramsey ("All of Us").

ABC has done little thus far to promote the film, which will air against "American Idol" and the CBS combination of "NCIS" and "The Unit."

Richardson plays a doctor from the Centers for Disease Control's Epidemic Intelligence Service who's summoned to China after a new strain of avian flu is discovered. The virus has mutated into a form that can pass between humans (which the current bird flu virus receiving scads of news coverage cannot).

Among those now carrying the virus are an American businessman returning from a trip to Hong Kong, who becomes Patient Zero in an outbreak on U.S. soil. Cusack will play the man's wife. Keach plays the secretary of Health and Human Services, charged with containing the outbreak.

Ron McGee ("Atomic Twister") wrote "Fatal Contact." It was directed by Richard Pearce, a TV and feature-film veteran whose credits include ABC's "South Pacific," "A Family Thing" and episodes of "Party of Five" and "Homicide."

December 21, 2005 - Nip/Tuck Unmasks Record
Article By: Yahoo

The third-season finale of "Nip/Tuck" carved out record ratings for FX on Tuesday.
The two-hour episode, which aired at 10 p.m., drew 5.7 million total viewers, making it the most-watched episode ever of any FX original series. The finale revealed the identity of the Carver, a masked serial slasher whose identity was under wraps the entire season.

"Nip/Tuck" also drew 3.9 million in the 18-49 demographic; no other cable series has generated that large an audience this year. The haul also enabled "Nip/Tuck" to rank as the No. 1 original cable series in the demo.
The episode also repeated strongly at midnight, bringing in a cumulative audience of 7.3 million on the night.

Despite switching its scheduled run from the summer -- where it spent the past two seasons -- to the more competitive fall period, "Nip/Tuck" managed to best its season averages in total viewers (3.9 million) and 18-49 (2.7 million) by 100,000 viewers in both categories over last year.

Article by: Eonline

Nip/Tuck Fans, It's Here! Okay, finally, this week, you will all find out (a) what happened to Kimber, (b) who the Carver is and (c) why both are so damn good that I didn't want to spoil either. As you know, I've been giving away clues on the message boards, but so far, I don't think anyone has figured it out. (At least, not that I've seen.)

So, what are the odds on Who's the Carver? According to the Race & Sports Book of Wynn Las Vegas, Quentin and Det. Kit McGraw top the list with 8 to 5 and 5 to 2, respectively. Christian rounds out the bottom with 5,000 to 1.
