Name: Julian Mcmahon

Portrays: Christian Troy

The Character: Christian is an insensitive sex obsessed doctor who although can seem rash at times other times you sympathize with his character. We have found out that Christian was put up for adoption and was abused in his foster home. He recently had contact with his mother who told him she didn't want to see him anymore because it made her think of his father. Christian's father remains unknown, and we have found out Christian was conceived because his mother was raped.

The Actor: Julian McMahon was the second of three children. He studied law at the University of Sydney, but he became bored with his classes after his first year and began a career in modeling, working primarily in commercials. In 1987, he headed off for print modeling assignments in Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Rome, Paris, and other international fashion centers. His appearance in a TV commercial promoting jeans in his home country made him popular enough to be cast as the lead in an Australian "Dynasty"-like series, in which he played a wealthy heir. After working for 18 months on the series, he starred in "Home and Away" (1988), another successful series, where he won a best actor award from a national magazine. In his free time, McMahon enjoys surfing, biking, and "cooking anything" (especially roasts, pastas and ethnic cuisine). He is a fan of baseball, football and basketball, and he collects classic books.

The Character: Sean is a family man and a very good doctor, lately he hasn't been the family man he once was. Although, we still see that Sean wants to be a part of some family with how he takes to other people. He is a kind and considerate man and can be known as the "good" doctor.

The Actor: Graduated Annandale High School in Annandale, VA in 1982. He is the brother of Alison Walsh. On November 22nd, 2003 his daughter named Stella Haven Walsh born. Dylan also once dated Julia Roberts.

The Character: Julia once was hoping to become a doctor, she dropped out of medical school after she became pregnant with Matt and married Sean Mcnamara. Julia is a kind and has became a successful woman after opening up her own spa for patients recovering from plastic surgery. She has two children from her previous marriage to Sean, Annie and Matt. Although, we soon found out that Matt was actually Christian's son.

The Actress: For Joely the theater must be in her genes. Daughter of Tony Richardson and Vanessa Redgrave, and granddaughter of actor Sir Michael Redgrave, she is the niece of Lynn Redgrave and her sister Natasha Richardson is also an actress. Former husband Tim Bevan is a director. However the genes were slow - as a child she saw her older sister Natashsa interested in acting but she was a tomboy, imagining a career in gymnastics. She grew too far too fast, and gymnastics was out. British by birth, she considers herself a sort of honorary Yank, having attended boarding school in Ojai, California. An out-and-proud lesbian, she is the only female seen as a true equal in the life of Dr. Troy.

The Actress: Roma started her acting career performing off-Broadway, off-off Broadway and in regional productions ranging from Shakespeare to Sam Shephard. At a benefit reading for the New Group in New York, she was asked by casting director Jane Jenkins to audition for a role in director Ron Howard's feature film "The Paper," and found a career mentor: "Ron tells people he discovered me, which is absolutely true." The Actor: Born in KY, John's parents divorced when he was 3. He and his sister split their time between both parents, but did not seem to mind this arrangement. John did not intend on acting until he tried out for a school play. Although he was not cast, he was hooked on acting, and decided to take a week long trip to New York, where he met his future manager. John says that he would have been content to rangle horses on the farm, if acting had not panned out. He had not decided to choose acting as a permanent career until he had received a call back from his soon-to-be manager.
