The Character: Annie is the daughter of Julia and Sean McNamara. She is an innocent (but inquisitive) child growing up and trying to learn about life through her parents and her older brother, Matt.
The Actress: Kelsey is the oldest of three girls and lives with both parents near Los Angeles. Kelsey began modeling at the age of four and quickly started booking print jobs. In 2001 she was hired for her first runway fashion show and since then has performed as a runway model in 18 shows! She landed her first television guest-star appearance on "Power Rangers - Wild Force" in 2002 and shortly after filmed a flashback scene for the pilot episode of "The Oliver Beene Show". She frequently guest co-stars on "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" for flashback scenes of Kaley Cuoco's character "Bridget Hennessy". The Character: A beautiful thirtysomething woman married to a wealthy, much older man who is now the owner of McNamara/Troy. She is a tough supervisor who harbors a deep secret from her past which involves an older woman who is blackmailing her. The reasons for this are unknown yet.
The Actress: Sanaa Lathan, pronounced Sa-NAA, "like Sinatra without the tra" was born on September 19, 1971 in New York as her mother Eleanor McCoy performed on Broadway with the likes of Eartha Kitt and her father Stan Lathan worked behind the scenes in television for PBS. She was exposed to the life of entertainment and stars at a very early age, which had a profound impact upon her life. As a child she was nurtured in athletics and the arts through training in Gymnastics and Dance. She later became a product of divorced parents, whom she remained closely connected to, by being shuttled to live between them both in New York and Los Angeles. Those loving supportive parents, the extremes of the public schools of New York City and the riches of the 90210 Beverly Hills High served to build within Sanaa a humble spirit, competitive nature and a full awareness of self.

The Character: Quentin is a very good plastic surgeon from Atlanta who joined the Mcnamara/Troy partnership. Soon though, a heated
rivalry came up between the three doctors after they learned of his bisexuality and of his attraction to Julia. Julia and Quentin have
dated a few times and even recently slept together. We learned not long ago that Quentin does drugs on occasion. He seems to be a smooth and
nice guy, although, at other times he can be somewhat vicious.
The Actor: Bruno is the son of an international banker, Paulo, and an actress, Thania. Although born in Rio de Janeiro, he grew up Brazil, Toronto, Bahrain, and Houston. He has three sisters - Mara, age 33 (in 1999); Adriana, age 32; and Mariana, age 21. At age 14, he attended Michigan's Interlochen Arts Acadamey. He then studied drama at Northwestern University. He got his acting break by returning to Brazil, where he starred in the 1996 film Quatrilho, O (1995) which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Picture.

The Character: Ava Moore came into the show as Julia's life coach. But when Julia asks Ava to coach Matt, (who is having a difficult time in school) things suddenly start heating up. She ends up having an affair with Matt, which upsets everyone...including her son Adrien. Ava is a very smart and intelligent woman but by the end of the second season, we find out that Ava is actually a man. Sean, Christian, and Julia want her to stop seeing Matt, so they go to the doctor who changed Ava. He comes into town and fixes the one flaw that gave Ava away. Soon after she sets off on a plane to Paris, never to be seen again.
The Actress: Famke was born in Holland, where she began her professional career as a model. She later moved to the United States, where she has made her home since 1984. Initially settling in New York, she majored in writing and literature at Columbia University and studied acting with Harold Guskin. She then went to Los Angeles, where she continued to study acting under Roy London. Famke made her feature film debut with Jeff Goldblum in Fathers & Sons (1992).

The Character: Gina is a single woman, who in ways is a lot like Christian. She is addicted to sex, and did try to go to rehab for it, but it ended up not working out for her. We later find out that Gina is pregnant with who she thinks is Christians child, only later to find out that it's not. She recently was diagnosed with HIV, but that didnt stop Gina from starting up her own business with Julia. She is a very smart and independant woman looking for someone to love her.
The Actress: Jessalyn Gilsig has an extensive list of theater credits to her name. A graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Gilsig received her theatrical training at the American Repertory Theatre's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. Among the American Repertory Theatre projects in which she appeared are "The Cherry Orchard," "Henry V," "The Oresteia," "Tartuffe" and "The Tempest." She also appeared in the Alliance Theatre production of "The Last Night of Ballyhoo," and in numerous other live productions and television commercials.

Portrays: Megan O'Hara
The Character: Megan came into the show as a victim of breast cancer. She came into McNamara/Troy looking to reconstruct her breasts but after a few visits with Sean, she realized she was starting to have feelings for him. The relationship became more and more serious as time went on, but Megan later found out she had cancer. Instead of doing the treatments, she decided that she didn't want to have to 'suffer' so she asked that Sean aid her into taking her own life. The two were very much in love, and although he really didn't want to do it, he did it out of the love he had for her.
The Actress: Julie grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Her father, Neil, was a musical arranger, who wrote jingles for products such as Tic-Tacs and Fig Newtons. Her mother, Naomi, is a freelance book agent. A 10 year younger brother, James, works for the New York City Parks Department. At 12, she attended the exclusive Dalton School, where she became friends with Mary Stuart Masterson. While there, an agent urged her to try out for a role in the movie "Pretty Baby". She didn't get it, but it did lead to a role on the soap "Guiding Light". She majored in theatre arts at Brown University and graduated in 1987. She worked as a waitress in Los Angeles, while seeking her acting break. In 1995, she married writer-director Jonathan Prince.
